Inspired by a trip to Sedona, Melissa has taken her passion and experience from the beauty world, and combined it with her appreciation and understanding of the health & wellness industry, to apply it all to the benefit of other’s journeys. Stemming from a beautiful Aztec maze, she assimilates each person’s experience with that visual, and hopes to help them find what works for them on the spectrum of options that exist to support their own adventure.
Parents of two smart, fun-loving and active girls, our Owners love incorporating them into their journey and showing them what passion and hard work can do!
Melissa, Owner
Melissa was drawn to the world of beauty, health & wellness from a very young age. Experiences showed her the difference between maintaining and supporting a healthy balance, and what happens when you don’t. Working in the beauty world from salons sweeping hair, to running stores, and sprinkling sunshine across multiple regions, she has watched, learned and evolved as the industry has changed. Like many, in 2020 she had a few “full circle moments” that brought her back to our roots as humans, and learned more about how to ultimately achieve balance between nature and medicine/technology.
Fast forward to March 2023 as she was working out in an infrared sauna, she realized how she wanted to enact her word of the year, IMPACT, on herself and others - through all she had learned in her expansive career, and own personal health & wellness adventure; in an adopted community her family calls home. It is from those experiences and inspiration; boro health & wellness was born.
Kevin, Owner
A passionate and consummate business man, Kevin has always been interested in building opportunity from a kernel of truth, including but not limited to his custom golf cart business, Create A Cart. He had his own “full circle moment” in 2015 when a friend and colleague needed a kidney transplant. Not only was he a 90% match and went through the process of donating a kidney, but since his friend lived in Nashville and that is where the surgery took place, the family fell in love with the area and decided to call TN their home!
Leveraging his successful career in sales and own entrepreneurial business ventures, he jumped in feet first when Melissa came to him with the notion that they should invest in their adopted community by furthering the options for health & wellness. Lending experience, grit and muscle, boro health & wellness spa is a full-fledged family operation that believes in bringing opportunity to the community and individuals’ efforts to live a life in balance.
